Senior Software Development Engineer

Requirements: All candidates must have UNIX (or LINUX) experience. Software Quality Engineer

The Amazon Web Services team is driving web services technology to new heights, and we need a skilled Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure persistent excellence in our products. Our goals for the near term include major improvements to our applications, so candidates are expected to hit the ground running with experience in multi-tiered applications, optimized to meet the needs of our external developer community. Candidates should be fluent in Perl, have skills in another programming language (Java, C++), and have experience with applications that use XML as their communication protocol. Technical Writer

Amazon.com is looking for an outstanding technical writer for the Web Services group. As a technical writer, you will create and publish technical documentation for our Amazon Web Services platform, including user documentation and reference manuals. Successful past delivery of developer-oriented technical documentation for a programming platform is required. Must have experience writing documentation for APIs, SDKs, components, and tools. Your documentation will be used by software developers using Amazon's Web Services platform. This position requires precise documentation and clear communication and presentation skills, along with a solid understanding of software engineering. The ability to create and document code in Perl, C++, PHP, and Java is required because you must quickly understand the complexity of our systems, create sample applications that demonstrate individual components of the sy! stem, and share this information with others. You must also be familiar with SOAP, XML, XSLT, and HTML. Candidates must have a strong computer science and technical writing background. A bachelor's degree (or higher) in computer science or technical communications with a CS focus (or equivalent) is also required.

Technical Product/Program Manager
